Services / Catalog AI
Your product catalog.Rewritten by AI. Operated by us.
We rewrite catalogs for industrial and equipment e-commerce distributors. Descriptions, schema, internal linking, AIO citation engineering — delivered in your platform’s format, priced per product, operated month over month.
Why now
AI Overviews cite product pages. Most catalogs aren’t built for it.
For a distributor with 10,000 SKUs the math is brutal: every product page that isn’t engineered for AI citation is invisible in the new search surface. Manufacturer-supplied copy doesn’t get cited — AI engines deduplicate it across the 40+ distributors who all use the same text.

The fix is structural: content depth per product, schema completeness, and citation-engineered Q&A blocks. That’s what Catalog AI ships.

Need more than catalog?
Beyond catalog?
If you need catalog work coordinated with content, AI search, dev, and outbound under one operator — see Full Growth Ownership. Catalog AI Enterprise is included in those engagements.
See Full Growth OwnershipPositioning
Where AI is used. Where humans are used.
Salesolution uses AI where it ships better outputs than humans can at sustainable economics. We use senior human writers where AI ships worse outputs than humans can, regardless of cost.
This service
AI-drafted, human-reviewed (this service)
Product catalog at scale — descriptions, FAQs, schema, internal linking — for catalogs of 1,000+ SKUs where no human team can write 10,000 product descriptions in 30 days at sustainable per-product economics. AI handles drafting; human editors handle structural review on every product at Pro tier and above.
Editorial Authority
Senior human writers, no LLM drafting
Pillar pages, cluster posts, category content, engineering Q&A hubs, trade-press bylined content. These pieces require argument construction, primary research, and judgment that AI ships worse than experienced subject-matter writers.
See Editorial AuthorityBoth services run as separate engagements. Most clients eventually buy both — catalog work for product pages, editorial work for the category and authority layer above them. The two services cross-link in the work they produce, which is most of the value.
What we actually build
The deliverable matrix. Tier by tier.
Fifteen rows of what’s in each tier. The upgrade path lives in the differences — not in marketing language wrapped around the same work.

How it works
Four steps. The pilot is the trust gate.
Missing the day-7 pilot is the single most damaging failure mode in this work. We protect it on every engagement.
01
You send us your catalog and a voice sample.
CSV or platform export of your products, plus 50 of your best existing descriptions so we can train the model on your tone. That’s the entire intake.
02
We rewrite at AI scale, sample by hand, ship a pilot at day 7.
First 500 SKUs land on day 7. You approve voice and quality before we touch the rest of the catalog. The pilot is the trust gate — everything else is downstream of you signing off here.
03
Full processing runs against your tier spec.
Standard runs at ~2,000 SKUs/day. Pro at ~1,000/day (deeper content + manufacturer spec ingestion + FAQ generation). Enterprise runs continuously with your dedicated operator.
04
You get it in your platform’s import format.
Shopify CSV, Magento XML, BigCommerce, custom — we map to your import. You upload, we verify, you’re live. 30 days of post-delivery issue resolution at no charge.
Case study · Industrial hydraulics distributor
1,840 → 2,640 leads / mo. No new ad spend.
~8,500 SKUs catalog · six-month engagement. The work below is what a Catalog AI Pro engagement at this scale looks like in practice.
+43.5%
Qualified leads / month
Aug 2024 – Jan 2025
What we shipped
- 01Product schema rewrite across all 8,500 SKUs
- 02150+ category pages restructured for AI scannability
- 03Dedicated answer hubs for engineering queries
- 04Manufacturer spec sheet integration on top-volume SKUs
They rebuilt our product schema and rewrote our pillar pages so AI Overviews cite us instead of the manufacturer. Qualified leads doubled inside two quarters.

Scope guardrails
What we won’t do. Same across all three tiers.
Stated on the page so it’s already settled before the proposal. If you need something below, we’ll point you at who actually does it well.
- Custom development outside CRM format mapping
- Product photography or image generation
- Video production
- Ad copy or campaign management
- General SEO consulting beyond the catalog
- Platform migrations (Shopify → Magento, etc.)
- Site redesigns or theme work
- More than 3 rounds of voice/style revisions on the brand training sample
- Translation to non-English languages (separate add-on at $0.50 / SKU)
- Manual fact-checking against your internal databases (we use source data you provide)
Part of the Revenue Engine
Where Catalog AI fits in the engine.
Catalog AI is a Bring cylinder. It runs on its own, and it compounds with the parts next to it:
Gets you named inside Google’s AI answers and ChatGPT when a buyer asks who to use.
Editorial AuthorityPublishes the pages that earn citations and answer the questions your buyers ask first.
Outbound EmailReaches the buyers who never came inbound with hand-built lists and reply-first sequences.
Local SEO & MapsWins the map pack and “near me” searches: the Google Business Profile and local pages that put you first in your area.
Paid AcquisitionPaid search and social on your own account, at cost, zero markup — one input, judged on cost per booked job.
Catalog AI FAQ
Questions on the work itself.
Tier differences. Quality controls. Ownership. The honest sizing thresholds.
01What's the actual difference between Standard and Pro?
Standard rewrites your descriptions and ships the catalog. Pro engineers each product to be cited by AI Overviews — deeper descriptions, FAQ blocks, manufacturer spec integration, comparison content, enhanced schema. The Pro tier is built for distributors who want to dominate AI search, not just have better descriptions.
02Why is Pro 2.3× more expensive than Standard?
Because the work per product is 2–3× more: manufacturer spec ingestion, FAQ generation, comparison content, deeper QA. The free Catalog Snapshot shows you both tiers side-by-side on your own products so you can see the difference before deciding.
03When does Enterprise make sense?
Above 50K SKUs, the per-SKU model gets expensive enough that a managed-service retainer is cheaper than equivalent project work. Enterprise also includes category page rewrites, programmatic SEO build, dedicated operator, and monthly outcome reviews.
If you’re hiring an in-house person for $200K+/year to do this, the retainer is a better deal.
04Can we start with Standard and upgrade to Pro later?
Yes. We charge the difference (~$4/SKU at tier 1) plus a reprocessing fee for any SKUs already shipped. Most clients who upgrade do so 60–90 days after Standard delivery, once they’ve seen the work and want more depth.
05What if the AI gets a product wrong?
We sample before delivery (5% Standard / 20% Pro / 100% via operator review for Enterprise). The 500-SKU pilot at day 7 is your approval gate before full processing. Post-delivery errors get reprocessed at no charge. Our error rate has run under 2% on the work we’ve shipped.
06Wait — you use AI for this but not for your other content service?
Different work, different tools. Catalog work is structural at scale — 10,000 products with schema, FAQs, internal links, all delivered in 30 days. No human team writes 10,000 product descriptions in 30 days at $3/SKU. AI handles drafting; editors review at scale. The output ships at a price humans can’t match.
Editorial content (pillar pages, cluster posts, category authority content) is judgment-based at lower volume — 10–20 pieces per month, each requiring argument construction and primary research. Senior writers produce better outputs there than AI does, and the per-piece economics make human writing viable.
We use the right tool for each kind of work. See Editorial Authority for the senior-writer service.
07How is this different from Hypotenuse, Describely, or similar tools?
Those are self-service SaaS — you upload data, you run the tool, you handle QA and delivery. We operate the system for you: brand voice training, manufacturer spec integration, human QA at scale, CRM format mapping, and ongoing operations.
SaaS tools work for distributors with internal content teams who want a tool. We work for distributors who want the catalog handled.
08Who owns the rewritten content?
You do. Full IP transfer on delivery. No licensing, no ongoing fees on the content itself. We keep your original descriptions as a backup — you can revert any product at any time.
09What about new products we add after the initial rewrite?
$1/SKU on Standard, $2.50/SKU on Pro, included for Enterprise. 48-hour turnaround. Send us a weekly or biweekly batch and they flow through the same pipeline.
10Is there a minimum project size?
Yes. $3,000 minimum on Standard (1,000 SKUs), $7,000 minimum on Pro (1,000 SKUs), 50K SKU minimum to qualify for Enterprise. Below those thresholds, the setup cost doesn’t amortize and you’re better off with a SaaS tool.
11Do you offer a money-back guarantee?
If the day-7 pilot batch doesn’t meet quality standards and we can’t fix it with a prompt revision, full refund. Once you approve the pilot, the project is binding.
Find the hole. Then decide.
Most owners think they need more leads. They usually don’t. The calls that ring out and the quotes nobody chased are a bigger hole than the ad budget. Either way you leave with the numbers: the exact gap and the highest-payback fix, whether or not you hire us.
